to take back a 6 month old pair of Child's Clarks Shoes

because the tongue of the shoe fell off.
Not sure whether this is normal wear and tear in that period.
Looking for opinions really before I risk embarassing myself.
Incidently lots of people have complained on the Clarks website re the quality of this particular shoe.
Really replacwment will same size etc if they do.

I would yes, I know kids can be rough with their shoes but you expect Clarks to be decent quality & you pay for this, I bought my 2 year old Clarks shoes that were £38 last week. I almost expect them to be gold plated for that & certainly up to kids treatment lol.

I would be nice about it though, obviously take the shoes with you & see what they say. No reason to be embarrassed at all :)

I would. They replaced shoes for new when the velcro strap wore out.

Noqontrol · 25/05/2012 13:31

Yes I would.

Thank ladies. Will do although can't find receipt. Hoping credit card statement will do.

I don't think you should. 6 weeks maybe, but 6 months is pushing it.

Personally I'd be ecstatic if a pair of Clarks lasted 6 months. Ds can't seem to manage a pair lasting past 10 weeks! That's the maximum I've had from last few pairs so I've said never again as a pair of Kickers lasts his 18 months plus. He grows out of them before every destroying them. IMO Clarks are appalling quality lately.

After 6 months, most children would have grown a size anyway.

Maybe i will get his feet measured 1st and play it by ear.
