I ordered a new desk over the internet on Tuesday which said would be 4-5 days to deliver.
I was on the internet last night and happened to check my emails and was surprised to see the desk was being delivered the next day (today). There was no mention of morning or afternoon but since I was going to be in most of the day I wasn't too bothered. I had to go out to a meeting at 2pm and got back to find an email saying they had tried to deliver at 2.20pm. There was no delivery card.
I rang the number on the internet and asked what the next step was. Basically they can deliver tomorrow (I am out at work for an hour here and an hour there), they can deliver elsewhere (everyone I know is at work) or I can pick it up 30 miles away (how on earth can I carry it when I am injured).
It is unreasonable to expect some idea of a delivery time e.g. morning or afternoon at least? I now have to hope it's at a time I'm in tomorrow or get someone to pick it up for me. I also have to hope they don't send it back to the main office which is hundreds of miles from me. They can't give me a time estimate and they can make no promises that it won't be sent back to head office if I'm not in tomorrow. Stupid IMO.
Oh well, I shouldn't be annoyed at something so trivial I guess but it did annoy me!
