to have a little moan about the weather?

I love it being hot and nice...
but poor dd is wilting, she has just got home and is so hot and fed up, doesn't help that her seating system has plastic in it so even hotter....
I know I can't change the weather and it won't last, but feel so for her.
(she has CP and is in a wheelchair) she has cheered up now as she is in her room in very light clothes just chilling.
but I needed to vent

Poor girl. Can she go swimming? Or dangle feet in very cold water like I did yesterday? It's amazing how much that helps. Just a washing up bowl full. Ds liked it too :)

Your poor dd, I sympathise, I am rubbish in hot weather (unless by a lovely cool swimming pool) and tend to go puce like I did this afternoon at the school activity day me today!

Is there anyway she can sit on a blanket or towel in her chair?

that is one good think , she is dry so no nappies.
I am going to make sure her next seating systen does not have plastic on it

Your poor DD. She has my sympathy. I've always been hopeless in hot weather.

I covered dds spare wheelchair cushions in towelling for the summer, it helped a bit, but the best one was making a pocket and putting those freezer thingies that you put in lunch boxes and cool boxes in the pocket.

can you put a sheet on her wheelchair so its cool and not horrible for her , lie on her bed for a while , My neighbour has CP and looked as though she was melting today when i saw her ,
