My dad has just done this for the second time this week, texts are you in, then a couple of hours later comes whether I have replied or not! (Can't reply at the moment due to lack of credit)

Haha my mil does this too and then gets stroppy when we are not in. She had an emergency key and let herself in to our house once when we didn't reply..... We had a 3 day old DS hence us not replying straight away and also note the word HAD in the previous sentence.

If he wants to come round he can bloody ring me, thank you very much, it costs a bloody fortune ringing mobiles from my landline.

I think its reasonable for him to do this. If he hasn't had a reply then he might think you don't have credit/no signal/havent checked your phone and is just calling in on the off chance

I am, I go out with dd to the shops sometimes but normally only to get groceries etc.

I have a friend that does this. really pisses me off, especially if I reply "yes home but DD2 poorly and got loads of work to do"
