Age not being kind...

OP posts:
SpeckleDust · 24/05/2012 14:41

She's not that old aliceinboots. She was born in 1948 which makes her 64.

Didn't see her on tv today but good for her not to feel like she has to bow to the pressure to look the same as everyone else on tv (young and a bit plastic-looking).

Dropdeadfred · 24/05/2012 14:43

Oooh sorry!!! Was just a googled image of her..nothing sinister!!

Baconsarnie · 24/05/2012 14:44

I think she's lovely, leave her alone.

janelikesjam · 24/05/2012 14:44

Just actually watched. Thought she looked OK, bit tired-looking somehow, perhaps you would expect someone who had a hard life, but thats about all.

Vagaceratops · 24/05/2012 14:45

Being married to RM must be bloody exhausting.

He just seems so chipper all the time.

Dropdeadfred · 24/05/2012 14:46

It was this I think she just looks her age actually - neither good or bad

thebody · 24/05/2012 14:50

I absolutely love judy, this morning kept me sane when I was first a Sahm
With a baby in 1989.

They were my friends and I know all about Tom,Dan Jack and Chloe.
Also Denise Richards.

Yes I am sad but leave just alone, don't be a bitch op!!

Racers · 24/05/2012 14:51

Ok good to know! Thanks!

badtasteflump · 24/05/2012 14:53

You suit your MN name OP Smile

Tokamak · 24/05/2012 14:57

Why the bloody hell shouldn't they have Botox, surgery, etc. if they want to?

No reason they shouldn't.

However, it's becoming the NORM for older women in tv to HAVE to do this in order to keep their jobs. Is there the same pressure on male presenters? No? Why not?

janelikesjam · 24/05/2012 14:57

And still looking glamerous, thoughtful, fun and sensitive - which is the main thing really ...

JustFab · 24/05/2012 15:24

What a spiteful thread.

I for one enjoyed seeing her on TV again.

aliceinboots · 24/05/2012 15:27

I used to like her too on TM back in the day. I'm glad she quit when she did though as her wobbly mouth and shakey hands were making me feel nervous.

Atreegrowsinbrooklyn · 24/05/2012 15:31

Some total bitches on this site. I'd expect the more nasty posters here to all be natural beauties, devoid of stretch marks, spots, lines, wrinkles, with a body fat level of 0%, and ageing gracefully (apart from their ugly personalities).

How would any of the nastier MNers posting here like to have photographs of themselves plastered all over the internet for a bunch of people to mock? Dare you to post your photos here.....Let us see how gorgeous you are............

SamuelWestsMistress · 24/05/2012 15:44

Madeley is an irritating git, but Judy is ok. She's 64 FFS not 24. We'll all be old women one day.

DioneTheDiabolist · 24/05/2012 15:55

Thought her eye make up was a bit aging.
Whatever happened to Denise?

roundtable · 24/05/2012 16:12

Shock, horror a woman ages without the use of surgery...Confused

How charming some of you are.

manicbmc · 24/05/2012 16:25

I have no problem with anyone having botox or whatever - I do have a problem with them lying about it.

Pinot · 24/05/2012 19:08

I think she looks fine for a woman of 64 who's been unlucky with her health.

More important to me is why it provokes such a shocked reaction to see a woman on TV not a size 10, not under 35 and not bland, beige and blonde.

It is a sad reflection on how TV skews our view of woman post menopause I think.

And I bet she gives the most amazing cuddles

MinnieBar · 24/05/2012 19:19

Whoever mentioned Michelle Pfeifeifeiffer - I'm sure she's openly said somewhere that she's had 'help' - botox at the very least.

GwendolineMaryLacey · 24/05/2012 19:22

I just saw it on the catch up and thought she looked great. I was expecting all sorts but she looked like Judy Finnigan plus the few years since I last saw her.

shattereddreams · 24/05/2012 19:24

I'd say the gin is what happened to Judy.
My mum is same age, Judy looks v old for a women her age I would say.

Have you never noticed her shakes?? She has a reputation for serious boozing.....

Pinot · 24/05/2012 19:25

I think the shakes are her nerves.

MinnieBar · 24/05/2012 19:25

My mum is the same age, and drinks like a fish, and does look better, but then she has had surgery. Confused
DH's mum has the shakes but it's some kind of non-serious age-related thing [technical]

PingPongPunani · 24/05/2012 19:27

She is actually quite old though to be fair. Richard is a lot younger than her.
