I use active conversations. It gives you a wider view of the world.

Expand your mind

And it would stop all those fucking threads that DO NOT belong in AIBU being there because it gets more traffic

Thank you Thanks

As you were

Y still BU.

I will zap you with my hairdryer remote.

LyingWitchInTheWardrobe2726 · 23/05/2012 16:16

If I were interested in expanding my mind, I'd be out there in the big wide world, not on a chatboard. I'm very fond of AIBU... not moving, sorry. Grin

NormaStanleyFletcher · 23/05/2012 16:17

I have to take DD to Gymnastics now.

You are ABU

Get out of this corner of mumsnet and see the big wide world

Please

I aim to please!

would be joining you if I wasn't up the duff

MoreBeta · 23/05/2012 16:18

Emplore?

NormaStanleyFletcher · 23/05/2012 16:47

What is wrong with implore Confused. Oh feck. I just re-read the thread title and realise that dressing 5 year old in gym kit while typing is one multitasking too far. Maybe it is an alternative spelling?

I do use active convos

out of 100 threads, on average 99 of them will be AIBU Wink

NormaStanleyFletcher · 23/05/2012 16:48

What is a hairdryer remote?

OP posts:
NormaStanleyFletcher · 23/05/2012 16:49

Exactly Hec.

Is that not fucking annoying?

OP posts:
HecateTrivia · 23/05/2012 16:56

oh yes. Particularly things like aibu to want a cup of tea or aibu to be upset that someone just punched me in the gob...

when the person is not actually wanting opinions, but to chat about something.

But people post where they are likely to get most replies and that's AIBU. It's a bit along the lines of the Shoe Event Horizon (who's going to get that?) Grin

NormaStanleyFletcher · 23/05/2012 17:02

It has begun to Get My Goat (and I am not on benefits)

The shoe event horizon is a good analogy.

'Tis a vicious circle where people post here to get traffic because some fuckers never look anywhere else.

OP posts:
PrematurelyAirconditioned · 23/05/2012 17:02

Me me me, I got that. I was watching a documentary about geology and fossils only the other day and they were showing some very soft crumbly sedimentary layered rocks, and I shouted. "It's shoes!" and DH was extremely Hmm.

HecateTrivia · 23/05/2012 17:06

ah, we should just embrace it and rename the place AIBUnet Grin

NormaStanleyFletcher · 23/05/2012 17:07

But if we follow the shoe event horizon to it's conclusion, what happens if you can't post here unless you think you are being unreasonable? It would only be unreasonable people or insecure people who need to be bolstered.

All of the reasonable people would be gone.

Would the rest of MN have turned into birds?

Is this Mortimers way of taking over MN? Shock

OP posts:
HecateTrivia · 23/05/2012 17:12

Yup. Eventually all that will be left of the world will be a disembodied voice wailing "you were all unreasonable" and a single fairy cake.

NormaStanleyFletcher · 23/05/2012 17:16

Look - I even missed an apostrophe

Still trying to drum up support, eh? Grin

Mytwopenniesworth · 23/05/2012 19:32

oh, sorry, tis hecate. Went back to my roots. Grin

NormaStanleyFletcher · 23/05/2012 19:47

Yes I blardy well am. Grin Blush

It is not right.

I was not there for the "you can't have chat as a topic" thing, but the AIBU thing seems to be a step far to far

OP posts:
usualsuspect · 23/05/2012 19:48

I always use active convos

NormaStanleyFletcher · 23/05/2012 19:50

Usualsuspect I respect you for that.

And luff you a little bit more than I did already
