..Myself who she calls Mama and my DP who she calls MamaĆ (mammy in Irish). AIBU and a bit precious to expect that close friends and family could learn which is which and use them when speaking to my DD 2.9 and stop confusing her and making me need to politely point out to her who they are talking about?
I don't mean aquaintances and random people we rarely see but the ones who have regular contact with us and who are very involved in her life.

I agree with rhetorician, once she is old enough she is quite likely to have her own version.

Depends how clearly you have asked people to use these names, or whether you're expecting them to notice.
At 2 my now 3yo used mummy, mum, mum-mum, mumma and Cabrinha. So I wouldn't expect anyone to pick up on MY preferred name. Lots of people use them interchangeably.

YANBU. My DD has a Mummy and a Mama. They don't sound similar to her which is what counts as it's how she differentiates between us. I DO correct people all the time, as DD gets really confused when they mix us up. After getting annoyed with grandparents I eventually asked them to make an effort when speaking to her, and to be fair they have and it's better now. I think they thought it wasn't important! So maybe start correcting people (try not to get annoyed even though I know it's really annoying!) and it will make them realise they're doing it.
