To be fuming that my blog post questioning why people defend rapists in light of the Ched Evans conviction has been removed?

Not from mn, but from blogger, but I will rant here anyway.

After Ched Evans was convicted there was a long campaign on mn in light of th fact his victim had been publically named on twitter, in the media etc and there were support campaigns for him etc etc.

So I started a blog post questioning why people would feel the need to defend a rapist.

I have just been on to my blog to look for a different post and the post has gone. I can only assume it has been removed, and given the amount of support this rapist is receiving I can only assume that either a member of the family or a supporter reported it and had it removed.

It's not the post that makes me Angry it's the principle.

When I posted it I received tweets from people saying that the woman was drunk/deserved it/an innocet man's life was ruined you get the idea.

It's hard enough to get a rape conviction as it is, but then when one is obtained for the victim to be made to shoulder the blame and for people who speak out against the rapest to be prevented from doing so is IMO wrong.

I do not believe this is a coincidence. I have never had a blog post removed before, and I am fully aware of the support campaign that existed for this rapist.

YANBU - That is shocking, actually it isn't but that's the sad thing. Sad

The whole she asked for it thing makes me so mad and if i was a male i'd be disgusted that people think i can't control myself.

It's a penis ffs not a heat seeking missile. Hmm

Do you think it might have got removed because it was attracting so many vile rape apologist comments? Perhaps there were too many to moderate individually, or something. That would stink but at least it would mean it wasn't you who was being censored. Can you ask the site host?

no, and actually there weren't any comments - and if there had been I moderate the comments myself so it wouldn't have created work for anyone else iyswim.

It seems odd that it would just be removed without warning, as far as I know Blogger usually contact you to let you know if there is a problem. Anyway, it might be worth asking about it on the support forum HTH :)
