I got a taxi home from work last night as had a few large bags with me. Traffic was backed up - about 10 cars to the traffic lights that only let about 3 cars through at a time. Taxi driver said he would go a different route. Fair enough. But the other route was much worse and a journey that usually takes 10 minutes took at least 20.
When we arrived at my home the meter said £8. I asked him what he was going to charge me and he just nodded at the meter. I raised an eyebrow and he asked what I usually paid. I said £4 so he said 'OK, we'll make it £6. I just paid it and got out of the car. WIBU to think his short cut didn't work so why should I have to foot the bill?
