i agree with using 'frape' - that's revolting

as for the rest, lighten up dudes, it's language, it's meant to evolve.

BambieO · 12/05/2012 19:32

Trills · 12/05/2012 19:32

Filled with rage? YABU

weemumbelina · 12/05/2012 19:32

Neeps and tatties - what's wrong with that?

Tanyaaah · 12/05/2012 19:41

I HATE it when people say "I'm liking that" Instead of " I like that"!

I blame bloody McDonalds adverts. grrrrrr.

Yuck!

Tanyaaah · 12/05/2012 19:43

And how Steve Wright, when I accidently leave the radio on after Vine, says the time and date in an American way. (can't actually remember how, have blocked it from my mind)

backwardpossom · 12/05/2012 19:45

Oh don't get me started on Steve Wright. He makes me irrationally angry.

Tangointhenight · 12/05/2012 19:45

Have never heard 'totes' before and hope never to again!!

Tanyaaah · 12/05/2012 19:49

"5 after 2" That's how he does it. Instead of "5 past 2". Nob.

IAmSherlocked · 12/05/2012 19:50

It's dope.

BuntyPenfold · 12/05/2012 19:57

simples - ggrrrrr

SamuelWestsMistress · 12/05/2012 20:00

I hate people who say things like

OMGdotcom.

FUCK OFF

UnChartered · 12/05/2012 20:01

#senseofhumourfailuremuch?

LiviaAugusta · 12/05/2012 20:11

Just reading this thread has got me frothing and twitching slightly. Anyone who ever says hubby, holibobs, natch, chillax or anything else mentioned should be banned from speaking or writing until they've learned to use language properly.
Simples. GrinGrin

Dillytante · 12/05/2012 20:13

Oh you ol' gimmers!

Janoschi · 12/05/2012 20:13

Amazebaws is the Glasgow version and it pisses me off in a way that's totally irrational mainly because I'm confronted with it at least twice a day on Facebook.

Holibobs I confess to liking, though I could never summon up the courage to use it myself. I'd need elbow length gloves and the body language of Helena Bonham-Carter to pull it off with any kind of aplomb (now THERE'S a good word).

Soz, thanx and lolz make me want to stab not only the writer but anyone else in the vicinity. Especially when it's on a job application (I get about 2 a week with a 'thanx' at the end - WTF?).

Gowjuss I get a lot of from my Yorkshire/Cumbrian friends, as well as 'fook', though that one I quite like.

Janoschi · 12/05/2012 20:18

Oooh, while I'm here, what's the verdict on Spaggy Bol?

SundaeGirl · 12/05/2012 20:27

Spaggy Bol is like Sainsbugs and Tessies - hideous in it's tweeness.

Totes and Well Jell OTOH - amazeballs.

And, please God, may I make friends with a posh white woman who calls me Blud. It's really all I want.

My cousin is in her forties and uses the type of things all the time on her FB to the point where I hid her because I was sick of her being "well jel of the totes gorg ..." whatever.

Kids doing it is one thing. Annoying but its what kids do. Anyone over the age of 21? Grow or shut the Fuck Up!

Kayano · 12/05/2012 20:35

I said awesomesauce today Blush

UnChartered · 12/05/2012 20:36

bogeyface · 12/05/2012 20:38

We used to say "Soz" in a kind of sarcastic way when we were kids (30 years ago!) if we were made to apologise by teachers/parents etc!

Salmotrutta · 12/05/2012 20:47

Kids in school still do it today bogey .... also sarcastic!

Salmotrutta · 12/05/2012 20:47

also still sacrcastic

... This thread as made me lose my marbles.
