I try being healthy, eating salad and boiled eggs and tuna - I put on weight.

I gave up in the end.

This week, a typical day for me was:

Breakfast - cereal bar and a packet of cheese and onion crisps.

Lunch - prawn wrap, snickers bar and bottle of diet coke.

Dinner - chicken curry with chips

Evening - chocolate, more chocolate and occasionally, a bit more chocolate.

I've lost 2lbs since I started my "junk food diet". wtf??

So I can either be healthy and fat or unhealthy and thin. AIBU to despair at what the hell you're supposed to do if you have a fooked up metabolism??

perhaps when you started your healthy eating your body went into 'starvation mode' - if you say went from eating 2000 calories a day, to 900, then it might have been a shock and you stored fat?

Not sure. I'm a skinny person (so I'm constantly informed by people) and I eat slabs of meat, drink fizzy pop and don't concern myself and I only put weight on when I eat bread, so I started eating bread with every meal - which was bizarre.

Your typical day does not sound healthy and I would go back to eating healthy but regular food throughout the day that way you won't want to snack on high salt foods and sugar laden drinks. Good luck.
