Got in from school run and opened washing machine to find it had broken, kitchen flooded but tried to mop it up! Tired after work, kids arguing, the usual, I don't want to fit in with this stupid rat race crap anymore, I want to run a cat sanctuary in Ibiza, dance on the sand with flowers in my hair, I want a peaceful life....

YANBU. Sometimes all that makes it better is pasta, toast and a shit load of wine

ImperialBlether · 10/05/2012 19:24

Pasta on toast? Sorry, but that sounds awful.

And yes, sorry again, but you are being unreasonable drinking 4 glasses of wine if you're meant to be looking after the kids.

Horrible to have a flooded kitchen, though. Did they help you clean it up?

catinboots · 10/05/2012 19:26

YANBU

Enjoy

TrinityIsAFuckingRhino · 10/05/2012 19:26

even though I'm deciding not to drink anymore
I still don't think you are being unreasonable

YABU about packet pasta on toast, whatever that is!
YANBU about the wine!
Next time, what about pasta and pesto (from a jar, of course!) and wine instead?

Blu · 10/05/2012 19:29

I should imagine you needed 4 glasses of wine at least to face packet pasta on toast! It sounds like a concoction of the devil.

SauvignonBlanche · 10/05/2012 19:30

YANBU, passes Wine

Saltire · 10/05/2012 19:30

I agree with the wine. it's only the fact i have taken umpteen painkillers that preventing me from having any.

Shutupanddrive · 10/05/2012 19:31

Pasta on toast? Wtf?
Oh dear, early night for everyone needed I think (I know I would after 4 glasses of wine)

Saltire · 10/05/2012 19:31

Actually, having re-read what I've written, I haven't had umpteen painkilers all at once, they have been over the course of the day

PinkChampagneandStrawberries · 10/05/2012 19:32

I ate Pop Tarts for dinner. Your pasta on toast sounds michelin star compared to that.

YANBU.

fuckbucket · 10/05/2012 19:34

YANBU. But not joining you for the Wine due to still being hungover from the annual PTA advanced drinking marathon quiznight yesterday.

Passmethecrisps · 10/05/2012 19:34

Why is toast and pasta different to garlic bread and pasta ( other than the obvious garlickyness)?

Wouldn't eat it every night but hay ho.

PorkyandBess · 10/05/2012 19:34

Yanbu. I am dying for my dh to come home so we can open a bottle.

Pasta on toast? New one on me!

PorkyandBess · 10/05/2012 19:35

I wouldn't eat garlic bread and pasta. Carb overload!

On toast?

Yes, YABU

AhCannitSeeMan · 10/05/2012 19:36

Pasta on toast is just Heinz spaghetti or the like with toast isn't it?
Some days only an easy tea will do. Grin

Passmethecrisps · 10/05/2012 19:36

porkyandbess but that's why it is so delicious. Oh, and you need something to soak up the wine

AhCannitSeeMan · 10/05/2012 19:36

bruxeur cross posted.

ThatGhastlyWoman · 10/05/2012 19:38

I like the sound of the cat sanctuary. Does it have to be in Ibiza, though? There must be more idyllic sunny places with beaches suitable for dancing on...
