To send son off to grandma's for the afternoon?

I'm 20 weeks pregnant with a stonking headache & sciatica & feeling dreadful. Husband is working on the house so grandma has swooped off with our son to give me a break.
I feel really guilty that I'm struggling & need help.

YABU for posting on here...go and lie down and rest!

McHappyPants2012 · 07/05/2012 15:41

go and rest, i am sure your son will be fine.

Psht - go and sleep! The is nothing to feel guilty about, plus your mum will no doubt love having the afternoon with your DS and he in turn will have a great time too

It's win all round. You are not "struggling" you are pg, tired, not well and in the middle of a diy project. Wanting a break is normal, natural and healthy.

Don't be a muppet - just enjoy it!!

My 2 eldest have taken it upon themselves to phone Nanny this morning and ask her what time she could pick them up then tell her to hurry up and tell me not to rush to pick them up! I still have dd2 here (almost 2) but its much calmer and quieter than having a bored 5 and 7 year old here too. Everyone is happy. Enjoy your rest!

Get off MN and grab some sleep :)

YAB ridiculously U; go to bed and rest, woman! My MIL would actually leap at the chance to look after our kids if I was pg and needed a rest! They'll both have a great time!
