Violent Crime Headlines at Supermarket Tills

AIBU to object to my children reading headlines of appalling violent crimes on the Take-A Break style magazines at child-eye-level at supermarket tills. I've never opened one of these magazines but from glancing at the covers I have some horrific images in my head and, worse, so have my children. One cover said 'My ex-boyfriend butchered me alive' with further gruesome details that really disturbed my 8 year old. Should supermarkets find a more discreet location for such violent material?

It's no different to Newspaper headlines and I take it your children go to their local Newsagents?

It's a bit gruesome but then you'd have to keep them on very high shelves in order to keep them out of the eye line of an 8 year old.

My 9yr old DS is almost as tall as me!
