My beautiful daughter turned 10 today. My exP chooses not to see his daughter more than a couple times a year, he hasn't spoken to her since Feb half term, he did send her an Easter card in which he wrote that she can always phone him. My daughter hasn't received her card from him today although he texted me to say that he has posted it after i texted him. I am fed up I mean how hard is it to post a card to arrive on time??? My daughter will no doubt put on a happy face when I explain that he hasn't arrived but why the hell should she.

She shouldn't and neither should u. The stupid bastard will be the looser in the end.

You sound more than capable of looking after your dd and making her happy and that's fantastic.

Unfortunately how he conducts himself is up to him. Could you phone him and have a word when she's at school or out.

Happy birthday to your dd.

Actually very hard bearing in mind the postal service is not 100% reliable (DD's birthday card from my parents which they posted 3 days before her birthday eventually turned up about 3 weeks late).

Surely the main thing is that he has sent the card - and you can tell your daughter that?

My ex is sounds exactly like your's OP. In short he's a selfish arse. But you can't change it. I gave up being cross a long time ago. My DS is now 14 and couldn't give a frig really. He loves his dad but knows what he's like.

I can appreciate the postal service but his parents card arrived end of last week and they live in the same street. In the past he has been unreliable about sending her things saying that he has sent them but when checking the date stamp it was for the day before it arrived. If the role was reversed i would make damn sure that I sent it well in advance or better still actually turned up for her birthday.
TheBody thanks
