when im with Dp he is constantly texting his best friend and other people every half an hour or so. All i can hear is Click click click friggin click in my ear, when im eating, when im trying to do some work i swear to god it is driving me insane. I told him off at dinner saying it was rude and he does not see my point of view when i say that when he is spending time with me (relatively new relationship) that it is an insult to have him speaking to other people all the time. AIBU or is it just plain rude!?

Meals should be a text/ phone free time IMO

While you are working or ironing it's a bit different, but I'd get narked after a while too

You should draw the line at him texting while shagging you and chewing gum.

My ex does this all the time when he is around supposedly spending time with the kids. It drives me absolutely crackers. I would love to shove the phone up his arse especially at mealtimes.
