It was the recorder thread last week wasn't it? But that story came from his 'friend', not from MN. That would be your friend the researcher on MN then would it Matthew?

It's not theft, is it? They're just following up topics of interest.

It's not a topic that interests me but then I don't watch The Wright Stuff. Maybe he knows his viewers.

I recognise at least one topic a week from mumsnet (and contrary to common belief I do not spend all day on here and watching MW - I do also have a full time job )

what's the problem? The topics have to come from somewhere - his core audience are going to be mothers so where better than a parenting site to look for ideas?

Why not? I don't see the problem. Probably lot of cross-over in audience and he can see what topics are doing well on MN, researcher just doing a job.

I don't watch it anymore as MW was too annoying and odd and also he slates 'breeders' and stay home mums.

I can't stand The Wright Stuff or MW. And I would have thought "topics of interest" should go further than one website's forum!

I'm sure they also scan newspapers and magazines - it's just the people on MN are only going to recognise topics they've seen here.

I think what rankles is the fact that he relishes the chance to lay into Mumsnet in the nastiest way at any opportunity. That's what pisses people off. If he hates MN as much as he makes out perhaps he should find a more 'reputable' source for his shite show
