Im from the uk but have recently moved to Brisbane. I was pleased to find they have mothercare over here but shocked to find they are selling gollie dolls. I thought they stopped doing these years ago.

Please someone explain what gollie means because my partner has a gollie she was given at birth which makes the gollie older than 40+ years, she has it by her bedside and always travel/relocate with it. she loves everything black from cloths to partners. she is white and not racist as am black and the partner before me and the one before the one before me... Maybe their is a meaning to gollie i don't know as i dust her gollie when cleaning and keep it back where she loves it.
