that people are so poor that they cannot afford food and are having to rely on charities to feed them.
must be beyond terrible to find yourself in that situation.
can imagine it will only get worse....
Aibu in thinking in this day and age no one should be in that situation and to wonder how much worse it is going to get?

It's becoming quite common now, sadly. The Trusselltrust runs lots in my area. Here is even one in Farnham now, which is a very wealthy town, on the surface.

Some things have really rocked in price. For example, I'm paying a third to half more for basics like butter and bread flour than I was about a year ago. Don't get me started on petrol!

I was shocked this week by supermarket food prices. Really noticed it as I wandered around. Have they suddenly shot up?

Have experienced this myself a few times in the last few years. Usually when my tax credits or benefits have been cocked up. Hooray for the Sally army, who were brilliant with us. I had fifteen pounds to feed eight of us at our lowest point. For a week.
