You don't get out enough.....

PPPop · 25/04/2012 22:22

How do I go about doing it?

thenightsky · 25/04/2012 22:22

What did you use on your sing sandy? My bathroom sink needs a serious tackling. It takes so long to drain I don't bother with a plug when I use it. And it smells of sick

thenightsky · 25/04/2012 22:22

sing?? SINK obv

hmc · 25/04/2012 22:24

I do know where you are coming from OP. I also get chills of pure pleasure from a really clean loo

sandyboots · 25/04/2012 22:25

I do admire my shower grouting every time I go into the bathroom. It's sparkling ever since I got rid of my lazy cow of a cleaner.

The plug is minging though.

There is some brilliant stuff that they sell at Aldi and have also seen it in Tesco. Will google it and be back

Follyfoot · 25/04/2012 22:31

Its this

Bloody brilliant

thenightsky · 25/04/2012 22:32

I can confirm the sink de-bunger in the orange bottle doesn't work. I plan to use the Domestos one in the black bottle with the U-bend style top next.

sandyboots · 25/04/2012 22:36

that's what I've got but now me & folly seem like we have collaborated on an ad Shock Grin I've used mr muscle before- I clearly have a lot of gunk for some reason.

we need a mner with traditional remedy like vinegar and summat

belindarose · 25/04/2012 22:37

I thought everyone used Veet.

CoffeeBucks · 25/04/2012 23:34

Bicarbonate of soda & white vinegar, sandy. Works like a charm.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 26/04/2012 09:24

Our bathplug gets hair trapped down it's like pulling a mouse out of the plug Envy vom face

The downstairs loo is bunged up with soap and toothpaste (no hair). I give it a stab with a wooden skewer and got some sink and plughole unblocker.
Once in a fit of Domestic Goddessyness I undid the U Bend. It was such a blighter to get back on, I thought "never again".

Mrsjay · 26/04/2012 09:27

My husband is a plumber and is obsessed about us not blocking the sink plug Hmm i do it in secret so he doesnt go into the rant about blocked ubends Grin

belindarose · 26/04/2012 10:17

70 - that's when you need Veet!

MackerelOfFact · 26/04/2012 12:59

YANBU at all. Do you have a plunger? You must get one. Deep satisfaction.

I second the bicarb and vinegar thing too, way too much fun. Try soda crystals, bleach and boiling water too. Right before plunging. Grin
