Old news, but if anyone is interested... (from carpet fitter thread last week)

I have included a pic of the window advert on my profile, for those who were asking to see it.

Have since noticed after fitting, they damaged the ceiling light, the bannister and scraped two walls. So have reported them to Trading Standards, as I feel like I gave them plenty of chances to redeem themselves. There was also no apology from the manager when he fitted the carpet.

(Disclaimer: I know this isn't an AIBU, but I thought I would update where the original thread was).

Take more pics of the damage! I hope you get something from them!

To be honest I didn't think you were BU in the first place. If you can't offer the service you are advertising then, as a business, stop making promises you can't keep.

Anyway I don't blame you for reporting them. Customer service in general seems to be lacking in lots of businesses at the moment. It has got to the point with me where I feel ridiculously happy if I get good service from a business and I mention it to everyone I know. It's that unusual.

I didn't think you were BU either but at least now you have proof for your complaint. I agree with YonWhaleFish, take photo's of the damage they did to your home too.
