I dont think we have had any period of time since Xmas, when me and both the kids have been well!!

I seem to have a constant cold/ blocked sinuses. Kids have horrid hacking coughs and LO is often puking/diarrhoea

Im NOT a sickly person. Im never sick

Are we being wiped out by superviruses?

I think the warm weather woke them all up. Like wasps.

Yes! I've been ill most of the time since massive proper flu in February. Had three colds in the last four weeks and I'm off to the Docs tomorrow with probable chest infection.

I'm so fed up of being sick! And if one more person says 'echinacea' I will insert a herbal remedy where the sun don't shine, grrrr............

SillyBeardyDaddyman · 23/04/2012 14:51

Both my dcs are snuffly and have been so for 3 months! If you find those moths give them a good swatting from me!

pinktrees · 23/04/2012 14:53

We have had a lot of bugs recently

-flu like thing lasting 10 days (in Feb)
-cough cold general yuk (in March)
-2 day high temp followed by tiredness (early April)
-10 day cough/snotty nose/sore throat (later in April - still got it!)

All from school/nursery (one child in each)! Just waiting to catch the D&V bug!

I think they're stronger this year - I had a cold over Easter that lasted 12 days - this is the longest I have ever had a proper cold, I actually felt worse after day 5 than better.

BoFo · 23/04/2012 15:16

'warm winters, full grave yards' as my great granny used to say.

we've had everything this year too. Since October we've had 'flu, d&v, two lots of fever (unrelated to the previously mentioned) and me, sudden onset migraines - probably due to fighting other stuff of and/or looking after the rest of the household.

I think it gets better as kids get older - I'm hoping someone'll come along now and say their 18 years olds never get sick!

JoandMax · 23/04/2012 15:23

Last couple of months have been rough here, I'd been thinking we were lucky as neither DC had anything all winter before that, more fool me!

They've had tonsillitis, rotavirus, chicken pox, a nasty high temp virus and DS2 has just come home from hospital for an abscess on his knee.....

We're exhausted, they're both pale and lethargic - fortunately we're going on holiday next week (postponed due to hospital stay) and I'm hoping some sunshine will help!

xStarGirl · 23/04/2012 15:25

So glad it's not just me! I am very rarely sick, but I've spent the best part of the last month with either the sniffles, D&V or horrible migraines.

Best bit, my almost-two-year-old got sick once. ONCE. So I couldn't blame him for it!

madmouse · 23/04/2012 15:25

not just us then? I thought it was either the house move or the new house. Second time we're all ill in the month we've lived here. But of course we moved on one of those madly hot days (removal guys were complaining).

Cremeeggsandkitkatsoldiers · 23/04/2012 15:27

this is the first winter when none of us have been ill, not one day off. The usual stuff has gone around and at times when all of DS's friends have been ill I've been waiting for him to too, but then nothing, he's fine! other years he's caught EVERYthing he was exposed to so it felt like there was more going around, but I don't think there was

as a family our diet has been better than ever this year so that might factor, but I think it's mostly down to luck, some winters you get everything going, other winters you slip through without catching much, but I think there's about the same as usual in general
