They should wait for you to arrive and not let the next person have the appt . I was 2 mins late as I had to get a parking ticket. Upon arriving I was told the next appointment was in with him! GRRRRR. Apparently the meeting would take about half an hour so I had to come back to work!!

Nope, unfortunately I think you need to arrive on time.

Sorry you missed your appointment.

Were you really only 2 minutes late, if so that seems a bit harsh of them but I suspect you may have been later than you realised if the next appointment was already there as it would be unusual for them to turn up half an hour early for their appointment.

YABU
If your appointment is at 1, you should be there at 1. How were they to know you were 2 minutes away, 20 minutes or not coming at all?
Very sensible to see the next person rather than waste their time waiting to see if/when you would show up.

I was deffo only 2 mins late as I left the office early to cover the having to park. My appt was at one and I left work at ten 2 ! grrrrrrrr

My son is a personal banker. 2 minutes might mean the difference between the rent being paid, or him going without food for the last few days of the month and having to eat here. Sorry, but if you did his job, you'd be shocked at the amount of people who don't turn up for appointments and don't bother to let anyone know. Most give it five minutes before dealing with their next appointment, if the next one has arrived.
