I agree. I haven't ever watched X Factor or BGT (other than a bit inbetween other progs) but I actually enjoy The Voice so far.

Can't believe Will put Jaz and Jay together for Heard It Through The Grapevine - they were both brilliant.

Agree, they are all pretty good. I'm enjoying the change in format from x factor but I can't see the originality in the "live shows". Watching on delay and jaz and Jay v good.

DH and I usually hate TV talent shows but love The Voice. Get the feeling some record labels are going to be very busy over the next few weeks!

I completely agree. And The Voice isn't about having a laugh at people either, or patronising.

I can't stand it when the judges on BGT say "Oh, how lovely, I didn't expect that at all, you're so cute". So fucking patronising.

I am totally unimpressed by The Voice. I don't think SImon Cowell will be worried and I can't see how the outcome will be that much different to the X Factor to be honest. If they find a Leona Lewis who can make it and go far then great.

I actually think they need someone with the honesty that Simon brings to the X Factor.

Agree Danny is a bit annoying, but I do have a girl crush on Jessie now, never liked her before this.

Oh and Simon Cowel isn't honest he's a nasty git who knows making people cry on TV makes for good ratings.

The Voice comes off as having more talent than Britain's Got Talent or the X Factor because whoever is responsible for sorting applicants has already weeded out the people that, sadly, don't make the grade. Therefore the show doesn't 'waste time' during the auditions on people that are real no-hopers because they're good for the ratings. Likewise, The Voice doesn't have people like Wagner who are rubbish singers but good entertainment (and therefore good for ratings) so the end result is The Voice has more talented singers on it.

This is one of the main reasons I like it, it has less dross and less of a bullying undercurrent.

I think Jessie J and Will.I.am are honest. Not sure about Tom Jones or "The One from the Script".

Have only managed to get past the first sing off on iplayer and it kicks xfactors ass - no sob stories just about the talent.

Most of the people on here are far better than those that have won xfactor imo.

I thought it was great last night showed how it didn't need the cheery/ sad music after a tense decision conplete with back and forth camera shots.

I imagine once The Voice is over, many of those that have been sent home will be getting signed up by record labels. I would have thought they all signed a contract with the BBC that prevents them from signing to a label before that.

At least the Voice is honest about the training and experience people have. X Factor drives me up the wall with the "Oh I'm just a receptionist/GCSE Student/Till lady at Tescos with a dream who sings in her bedroom". Bollocks, you're a stage school veteran with years of singing lessons under your belt and you were invited to audition. Which is fine. But I hate the impression it gives teenagers which is all you need to do is want it enough and dream. When actually what you need is a huge amount of hard work, talent AND you still probably won't make it.

I've just caught a bit of last nights BGT - used to like SC but I'm so tired of him and his shite attitude towards people before they've even performed.

i'm pissed off with those that have been on TOTP previously getting a crack at it. It's not fair!!

I don't mind if they've had an "almost" career, so been signed, never got anywhere, but I thought 5 star woman was a bit silly, she's had a really good chance to be successful, they were absolutely huge, so she doesn't rate another go.
