AIBU to expect that the taste of the coffee in coffee shops such as Neros should be consistent?

Its just so hit and miss. Some times you get a sound cup of coffee and other times it is revolting?

Why?

AIBU to expect what I pay for?

I think the coffee in Cafe Nero is consistently better than the shite you get in Starbucks and Costa, so there.

I can't tell the difference. It all tastes the same to me.

The taste and quality of the coffee is down to

• the quality of the beans
• the consistency of the grind
• the quality and maintenance of the espresso machine
• and most importantly, the skills of the barista

I only have latte when im at coffee places you cant really go wrong with hot milk and a bit of coffee can you , I find it all tastes like hot foam anyway m DH got a lovely desing ontop of a coffee the other week but the coffee was rank ,
