To think I should be annoyed

but I just can't seem to get into a grumpy mood.
Background- I have always wanted a dog since I was little but my mum hated them so I never had one. I used to have my eyes on a german sheperd and I told Dh that I want one, one day.
Dd1 also really wants a puppy and I told her when she was older we would get one. Dh offered me one a few months back for my birthday. However I said No because even though I really want one, I think it would be better when the Dcs get older as when Dd1 is older (she is 5) then she can help out more and she could do more with the dog. Ds is only 3, and he is a bit rough so was not sure how he would be with a dog and my other Dd is a few months old so I would be worried about a dog with her.

Today I went out at lunch at DHs insistence then I picked up Dd1 and took her shopping for some one-on-one time again something Dh suggested.
Me and Dd1 walked through the door and the cutest german sheperd puppy bounded up to us. We gave it a fuss and Dh came round the corner grinning like a fool. I asked whos the puppy was. He was still grinning and said that the puppy was ours, he had taken Dd2 and Ds and bought it today to surprise me and Dd1.

Since then Ds has been so gental with the puppy and he listened when we told him to leave the puppy alone for awhile. The puppy didn't bat an eyelid when Dd2 cried and Dd1 has been learning how to pour the food and water.
I love the puppy , he is curled up on my lap. Dh is still all smiley and chufft with himself.

My friend thinks I should yell at Dh for buying the puppy after I said No. But I look at the puppy and I can't do it. Plus Dh is so happy with himself and I know he has only bought the puppy because me and Dd1 wanted it so bad.

So should I act grumpy with Dh or just be really happy with him for getting the puppy for us.

Aww, that's so sweet. Enjoy your gorgeous puppy and ignore your miserable friend.

Is it a boy or girl? My Auntie used to have a GSD girl named Sheba, and I knew another one named Dinah :o

I recently got to name one of my works four Giant African Land snails (i know your jealous right) maybe one of their names will work for you.

-: Digit (that was me)
-: Sloppy (another work colleague)
-: Gem (a child)
-: Woody (a child)

I realise this will totally out me.

Do any of those names fit your puppy.

Other suggestions

Aawwwww I'm soooooo jealous! And for the record, I finally managed to convince my parents to buy a dog when I was aged 8, despite my sister being scared of them. He had to be put down a couple of weeks ago at the grand old age of 16.5 but was and always will be a much loved member of our family.

Enjoy your little bundle of love!!!
