...in wanting to shout 'Do one' at DH, flounce upstairs and watch telly in bed on my own all evening whilst eating DS' Easter Eggs?

IABU. He's not done anything wrong. But I'm in a foul mood; I have constant ear ache, my period has randomly arrived in the middle of my pill cycle, my jeans wouldn't do up this morning, DS has spent the day alternately whining and poking his finger up my nose, the cat has scratched litter all over the floor I hoovered earlier, I made a curry this morning that smells like dead goat and looks horrible but we have to eat it because there isn't anything else and I know it's going to taste awful, and we're almost out of everything so I just know I'll end up in Tesco tomorrow with a thousand other arseholes people, a grumpy baby, and an exasperating husband.

I want to go to bed.

Sorry you've had a shit day. Sounds like it might be in your DH's best interests for you to go to bed with the easter eggs.

SoozyWoozy · 20/04/2012 20:02

Go to bed with the easter eggs. I am also in a shit mood... I even managed to scare the builders this morning with my grump Hmm

I might just copy you and go upstairs, curl up and pretend the world doesn't exist.

jaquelinehyde · 20/04/2012 20:04

Go to bed, take the Easter eggs and relax. DH will probably give a huge sigh of relief if you do.

Or, beat the crowds tomorrow and just head off and get the shopping done now on your own, giving you all some space.

ImperialBlether · 20/04/2012 20:05

Laughing here at the thought of your DH pretending to look sad when you say you're spending the evening upstairs. He'll have his feet up and his beer open before you've got into bed.

FeakAndWeeble · 20/04/2012 20:06

Thanks to you all. Didn't expect any replies to my rant but think you're probably right about DHs relief if I take myself off.

Bollocks to dead goat curry. Easter Eggs and bedtime it is Wink

YANBU Grin

Flounce away, or pop to Tesco in middle of night when it is mercifully quieter to get more chocolate

mrspnut · 20/04/2012 20:09

Take the easter eggs and take to your bed.

I often take to my bed when I'm feeling under the weather and make the rest of the family wait on me.

IBlameThePenguins · 20/04/2012 20:09

Op, are you me?

Iteotwawki · 20/04/2012 20:10

Oh poor you!

Can you send DH to the shops this evening while you have a bubble bath once your son is asleep? Sell it to him as much much easier for one person late at night to whip round with a list and then you can all have a lovely day tomorrow instead.

TheBurderer · 20/04/2012 20:11

Could you go up to bed now sleep and relax, then do a stupidly early shop to avoid all of the crowds and stress of a packed Saturday Tesco? Leave the children at home, wizz round and get it done and then go back to bed afterwards. It's what I do sometimes.

PurplePidjin · 20/04/2012 20:13

Take eggs and baby to bed. Send dh to shop via takeaway while you nap. Have a duvet picnic when he gets home.

Fuck the washing up.

BrieAddicted · 20/04/2012 20:13

You ever had goat curry OP? I had it at a Jamaican wedding ns it was blinking delicious!

qazxc · 20/04/2012 20:13

you still have eggs left! Grab them and go! It's the right thing to do: you are saving your DS' teeth and avoiding snapping at DH. Things will seem better in the morning :)

FeakAndWeeble · 20/04/2012 20:44

The curry was horrible Blush

DH ate all his though and kept saying it was nice. I think he is afraid of me.

DS is wailing every now and again. I'm ignoring him.

The Easter Eggs are next to me, the telly is on, I've found a Jilly Cooper I've not read in ages and I am determined to relaaaaax.

Thanks all Smile
