To be disappointed that M and S havent delivered my telly, three weeks later?

I wouldnt normally get annoyed but, Ive changed my days off at work twice now to wait in for the delivery. Ive even managed to put together a blinking tv stand that was nearly as expensive as the telly and its parked in the middle of my living room waiting patiently.

Do you think its worth complaining or, shall I just wait for them to ring me for the third time to arrange another day and, pray that I am off?

Absolutely complain if they've twice failed to deliver at an agreed time. You've been inconvenienced by their inability to organise themselves.

I'm a real moaner, so I'd have been waiting for the delivery of some apology gift vouchers after their first failure Grin.

I'd complain. go for it, you're well in your right to have a whinge

I could totally kick myself. They rang this morning when I was on my way home from work to say they will deliver between 1-3 pm. I had just done five nights, I specifically told the guy to ring when he got here. He rang at 1230 and I had set my alarm for 1245. He must have let the phone ring twice only as it was on my pillow and, I always hear it. No message left on my phone.

It will be another week now before they can deliver again Sad

Oh god, complain. It's completely ridiculous and at this point they ought to, at the very least, waive whatever delivery fee you've paid if not actually give you a partial refund on the order. That is a completely unacceptable amount of hassle and delay. I'd have been on the phone being Polite but Firm after the first time and Polite but Angry after the second....

Ive had about two hours sleep. Im off for a walk to calm down.

Definatley complain - I've previously worked in M&S complaints and we give out vouchers for most things and it sounds like you have been messed around. There's a set formula for how much they will offer you - always say no to the 1st amount as we were advised not to offer the maximum amount first as there is then no negotiation possible.

BrightnessFalls · 20/04/2012 18:34

Do you know who I should email?

Complain. I had so much trouble with an M&S sofa delivery. They repeatedly did not turn up, and only deliver one day a week here, so it went on for weeks. I would phone up to ask where they were , and they'd say that they weren't coming that day after all. I had an incomplete delivery too, and whilst customer services were apologetic, it was ages before I had all of my goods. They did promise me vouchers, but even then we had to phone up and ask for them after they didn't materialise. I do like my sofas though...

pingulingo · 20/04/2012 20:15

Not sure of the email address, I used to deal with phone complaints, although they are all dealt with in the same office. The complaints dept is open til 9pm (or used to be). I would ring to lodge your complaint and email/ring everytime something goes wrong - the more errors = the more compensation. Although you will be told they won't pay out until you have the item & everything is resolved. Info will be on their website though

The tv's were all dealt with by a third party so m&s might not automatically know of the delivery problems and delays you have had - I'm not sure how much info the delivery company put on the m&s system, so make sure you highlight how many times now you have been letdown etc.

(also if you like M&S sofas but not their prices, then Westbridge in Deeside have a factory shop with their cancelled orders / returns etc. you don't get as long guarantee though)

Email address is: [email protected] or phone 0207 935 4422 ask for Executive Office. The Executive Office answer complaints on behalf of the Directors, you will get an response!

likelucklove · 20/04/2012 20:27

I'm sure on money saving expert that they have to, on the failed second delivery, reimburse you what you missed out on earning that day and refund the delivery cost. I can't link because I'm on my phone but it came through in an email and is definitely on the site.

I hope you get it sorted, not on Angry for you.

BrightnessFalls · 20/04/2012 21:18

I just got the bog standard email reply from customer services. "We are sorry for the delay and will make sure the delivery man waits for you to answer the phone next time."

Do they use Yodel per chance? Because if they do, there's a good chance you'll never see the telly!

BrightnessFalls · 23/04/2012 20:19

I wouldnt have a clue to be honest.
