...to expect the nursery buggy shed should be used to store buggies?

...and NOT scooters, car seats and the occasional massive remote-control sit-in car thing? Hmm

A few months back our nursery installed an outdoor small(ish) buggy shed so those parents like myself who don't drive massive chelsea tractors and walk in every day have somewhere suitable to store their pushchairs during the day. Before this I had to lug the pushchair up a flight of steps (nursery is a big grand old Georgian house) to store it in the tiny lobby.

Unfortunately its now reaching the point where I'm squeezing the buggy in around all the other modes of transport other parents dump in the shed. There's even one Dad who leaves a double buggy in there and doesn't even collapse it Hmm. Before the buggy shed these scooters/car seats etc weren't stored in the lobby so why is it now acceptable to leave them in the buggy shed?

Really pissed this evening as someone had put a muddy scooter on top of my pushchair, covering the footmuff with mud which I'll now need to wash. Angry Angry. Havn't said anything to the nursery yet as it seems a bit petty, but it's reaching that point.

YABU, do you fold your single pushchair down?, so if you dont why should the double owner. You cant have it both ways, I see no problem with a scooter of bike, its a storage unit, and scooters are smaller than pushchairs.

You need a bigger shed!
And congratulating on the number of parents who walk.

I do fold it down, as does everyone else except this dad for some reason.

The buggy shed was put in so parents didn't have to carry pushchairs up the steps and clutter the lobby, it just annoys me to see the space full of scooters(and there are quite a few) but then I do hate them with a passion anyway Grin

The only unreasonableness on display is the non-folding double buggy owner. Ask the manager to have a word.

You'll sound like a loan if you complain about scooters - it's reasonable enough for them to be stored there, being a mode of transport for the nursery attendees.

YANBU re car seats, huge RC cars and unfolded buggies when others fold theirs.

YABU re scooters, I think, although if space is really tight in the shed, I guess they ARE easier to carry upstairs than a buggy. Although if the scooter rider is, say, three, and has to carry it herself as Mummy is carrying baby brother and huge bag, then I guess it's fair enough for scooters to be left too.
