To be pissed off with this high street shop?

Yesterday I ordered two lamps online to pick up in store. Went into the shop today and they had shelves full of the ones I ordered so I asked if I could take two, they said no, I need to wait another week for mine to arrive from another place...

I asked if I could just buy the two in my hand and get a refund on the online ones I bought, they said I could but the price is higher in store so it would cost me and extra £15..

AIBU to be a bit pissed off?

Just cancel the order and buy them somewhere else.

lolajane2009 · 15/04/2012 20:31

cancel the order under the distance selling act regulations...

The thing is I do really like them and had been looking for some for quite a while

YABU - you got a discount because they were online the downside is that you have to wait.

It might have something to do with barcodes which will mess up their stock system. You were happy to wait until you saw them in the store, nothing has changed except you have become impatient because you've seen them.

You could have bought them and cancelled your order but then you would have been £15 down - your choice.

Were the ones you bought online supposed to be available for collection today? I would be pissed off if I had got a confirmation saying they were available and got told it would be another week before they were in, but if you hadn't had your confirmation email to say they were in then YABU and will have to be patient.
