I watch it almost every night. It never gets old. There will never be another show like it. I've even got my 13 year old obsessed with it Grin

and I still feel like crying when I watch the final episode where they leave the apartment

Kayano · 14/04/2012 10:54

I don't understand. There are far better shows on the TV

mrsnesbit · 14/04/2012 10:56

Kayano...what??? Where??
I need to be weaned....

Yanbu. Friends is like a comfy old jumper.

Paiviaso · 14/04/2012 10:57

My friend and I watched every single episode in order over the course of a few weeks, and after that I regulary watched it on TV. It doesn't get old for some reason.

mrsnesbit · 14/04/2012 10:57

It IS a comfy old jumper! Love that.

The Big Bang Theory. Brilliant. The lead female character reminds me of Jennifer Anston.

OneOfMyTurnsComingOn · 14/04/2012 10:58

Oh my god. It's shit. I can't watch it.

IHaveAFeatureWallAndILikeIt · 14/04/2012 10:58

The Big Bang Theory!!!

Our recovery from Friends went Joey (weaning off slowly), Gavin and Stacey and now The Big Bang Theory.

ChickenSkin · 14/04/2012 11:00

I wish they'd do that Friends movie they were talking about. A reunion type thing. Apparently Jennifer Aniston was asking for too much money for it??

mrsnesbit · 14/04/2012 11:02

Oh loved Gavin & Stacey but that ended too and isnt as funny when i watch it back. sigh.
Never seen big bang theory, is it good then?

whoknewthat · 14/04/2012 11:04

Nah, nothing better.

The best thing about it (much like Peppa Pig) is that there is an episode to suit any given situation.

I'm always saying 'it's just like that friends episode where ......'

BustleInYourHedgerow · 14/04/2012 11:06

I loved it as a teenager but I have no interest now. Anytime I watch it now I realise how mysoginistic it is.

spiderlight · 14/04/2012 11:07

Green Wing. That's finished too but you can get the box sets. More grown-up and a bit surreal but very very funny.

Coupling filled the gap as well, a bit.

StrawberrytallCAKE · 14/04/2012 11:12

Yanbu, Friends is still brilliant.

Have you tried how I met your mother? It took me a few episodes but now it is almost but not quite as good as friends.

StrawberrytallCAKE · 14/04/2012 11:14

Some Mnetters love the word misogynistic, no?

NettoSuperstar · 14/04/2012 11:17

I love it and so does DD
We always put it on and laugh. I find it soothing.

DeterminedandSpecialMum · 14/04/2012 11:19

I've got it on too - I can watch them over and over and still laugh. :)

BustleInYourHedgerow · 14/04/2012 11:51

And some love American sitcom strawberry. It takes all sorts, doesn't it?

Hassled · 14/04/2012 11:53

My DS2 has fairly recently discovered Friends so I'm watching loads of it (it seems to be constantly on some channel) at the moment - these holidays have basically been one giant Friends-fest.

And yes, I still laugh a lot. I still hate Ross with a passion. But I've been reminded me what great comic actors they all were - especially the women.

HexagonalQueenOfTheSummer · 14/04/2012 11:56

YANBU, I was saying to DH the other day how much I still love Friends!

StrawberrytallCAKE · 14/04/2012 12:00

Indeed bustle it does, not an attack at all it's just I hardly hear it other than on here...but then maybe that's a bad thing.

AmberLeaf · 14/04/2012 12:02

I still love it too.

Someone will come along and link the friends thread from the feminism board that ruins it explains how misogynistic it all really is and how dysfunctional the relationships were....bit like real life really!
