To think having 2 ear aches, a high temperature, a sore throat and a chest infection means I'm ill?

And not as my DM puts it making a fuss about nothing and needing to pull myself together?

Especially since I'm pregnant and can't take anything much for it (paracetamol excepted)

I feel rotten so stayed in bed most of yesterday coughing, spluttering, throwing up bile and phlegm and generally in pain all over.

DM just phoned and I told her I was in a dreadful state yesterday, still not right but managing to get up and get on with things today and that was her response.

Humph

yanbu.

Hope you feel better soon.

That sounds utterly miserable, you poor thing. Of course YANBU. Sorry your family are so unsympathetic and useless!

FeakAndWeeble · 09/04/2012 21:22

I have all of the above and I am definitely ill! I am making a huge fuss and I'm not even pregnant. YADNBU.

My DM has been mildly sympathetic but only because she lives hundreds of miles away and can make an excuse to get off the phone from me. If I was ill in her presence she'd be the same as your DM.

Have a mug of hot milk and honey and sleep with your pillows propped up so you put less pressure on your ears. Hope you feel better soon.

In my house, everybody is allowed to be ill apart from me....

Hope you get better soon.
