To want to tell the police helicopter to fuck the fuck off and then some?

I know I probably am being very, but it drives me mad! The constant drone over my house and in the distance, god only knows what it's out for, again. It drowns out the tv and makes me paranoid that some mad thug is on the run, never mind what it's costing per minute in taxes. It's not a rare occurrence either, second time this week.

They often the use the helicopter to search for vulnerable missing persons , like old age people from a nursing home who have wandered and got lost ... It really isn't a waste of taxes !

our local police have a thing up on their website that updates what the helicopter is out for.

Yabu. They don't come out and about unless it is a justified need...god knows how much paperwork they fill each night!! Noise is a side effect of safety...

YABU. It's not the noise you should be worrying about, it's WHY the bloomin thing is hovering in your area so often!
They are bloomin annoying, stay hovering for ages, but there maybe someone in need of help.

They also use them to look for criminals on the run from them

I wonder if they should knock off at 7.30pm and just let the criminals carry on doing as they please.....

YANBU - not very long ago the police helicopter was out in my area for hours early in the morning - the following day there was a bit in the local paper about it:
Police helicopter launched to apprehend VCR theft.
WTAF the cost of having the police helicopter out for this was unbelievable and my dad actually phoned the local station to check this was true as he had been kept awake by it. sadly twas a true tale(and they never caught the thief)

Well yes of course that might be the case but also some nasty fucker might have just burgled a house, stolen a car or assaulted someone and good on the police for trying to catch them.

Well I did say I was being very unreasonable in my OP! It just always seems to be right over my house and has woken me up on occasion, and Worra, this isn't
a police bashing at all, just a silly rant about noise.

We had 3 of them up recently - local police, & two from the coastguard. They were looking for a vulnerable man who had gone missing.

We had one (police?) hover the other day over mine, actually seemed to cicle my estate immediate local area.

I ran round the flat watching what it was doing! Grin

One of DD1's first words was 'copter' due to police helicopter hovering constantly. Grin

The local red cross were out looking for a missing skier in the mountains, and a group of skiers started shouting obscenities and swearing at them.

Had it on a regular basis when I lived up North. My DS used to wave happily, he thought the chopper was a personal friend.
