Teach them enough consideration not to screech and scream. Ok so it's only 8 buty little ones need there sleep and kids running back and forth outside the window screeching away is not helping Angry

i think she is trying to get her kids to sleep while others are outside screaming and screeching

Thankgodforcaffeine · 08/04/2012 20:01

Is "wholet" a word?

MamaMaiasaura · 08/04/2012 20:02

Sorry grammar and spelling messed as trying to nurse dd and ignore the kids shouting and screeching heads off outside.

Just pissed off as they (the kids being loud) seem to have fuck all consideration for the fact that there are lots of small children trying to go to bed or are in bed.

i agree its annoying but i have remarkbly thin windows, seriously they might aswell be celophane

RachelWalsh · 08/04/2012 20:03

I hate when people let dc feral.

I think I do anyway, I'm sure it's probably not a good thing

MamaMaiasaura · 08/04/2012 20:04

Blush at typing but been a long day, 4 year old now snoring so got left arm back and only dd asleep on right arm now, just waiting till I'm sure she's asleep to move her to cot and inch away.

Sorry, no, is annoying, but hearing other kids playing out after you're in bed is part of being a kid. My son would sleep through anything though tbh.

mercibucket · 08/04/2012 20:05

That's the whole point of letting them run feral though! Have you asked them to tone it down? Do you have double glazing?

maybe you could get off MN and try and settle the kids without one eye on your phone/computer

sometimes they like some attention you know :)

MamaMaiasaura · 08/04/2012 20:06

Title should have been "parent who let their dc run feral" Grin Blush I haven't eve opened my choc egg yet. I need choc.

Fuck, ds2 has coughing fit now woke dd (can't blame screeching kids for that one)

Oh I remember how annoyed I'd get by any noise when mine were small. The reality is, that they probably can sleep through screaming DCs outside. A squeaky floor board as you edge out of the room, OTOH ...

8 year olds playing outside is not feral. It's normal. But I would absolutely tell them not to scream

gafhyb · 08/04/2012 20:08

sorry - not 8 year olds .. how old are the "feral" DCs?

MamaMaiasaura · 08/04/2012 20:08

They've stopped, wasn't playing, was screaming/screeching.

Grin at getting off iPhone. Only time I can mnet is when I'm nursing or on the loo (hiding).

Good grief.
I think your inner dictionary has gone feral.
Having said that, wholet should be a word.

gafhyb · 08/04/2012 20:09

I hate screaming. It's one good thing about my boys. They don't scream (there are some other good things too)

timetosmile · 08/04/2012 20:10

Have you asked them nicely to tone it down / move to a different bit of the street as your littlies are trying to sleep?

Dcs 11 and 8 are still out on our street on scooters with quite a few other local children, chatting and laughing..if a neighbour asked them to move or quieten down, they would.

Playing out is part of childhood, especially in the holidays....most 'feral' children aren't that, but just kids, and happy to move on if they are bothering little ones.

MamaMaiasaura · 08/04/2012 20:10

I don't know how old they were, dh had a word when I text him (great communication by text lol Grin). I'll ask him if I escape from these 2.

MamaMaiasaura · 08/04/2012 20:12

I don't mind kids playing out. I don't like the screaming. Ds1 12 plays out, he doesn't scream (except when tooth went through his lip). Nowt wrong with feral kids, lots wrong with being inconsiderate
