to think this woman should have taken her children to the bathroom

At a soft play yesterday, and a woman has a portable potty for her DC, who were doing a wee/poo, in a place that serves food in the sitting area!

Dh didn't know where to look at the children (both about 3 and 4) were getting stripped off at the bottom, not because he finds hes a pervert, but because he found it uncomfortable, as he was in front of the table, and he could see everything, even when the woman was wiping the children's bottoms.

we moved table in the end, as we we ordered food, and didn't want to have a eyeful off poo. (which she then took to the ladies to empty)

I have a portable potty, however wouldnt dream of doing something like this.

Dh ended up saying something to the food assistant, as we were leaving.

that is disgusting.

bring the potty to the loo or at least out of view of people eating.

OP, to be fair, you were the one who made mention of your DH not being a pervert. Had you not made reference to this, I suspect that people would have focused on the more salient point that small people were pooing in a cafe!

YANBU to think this is disgusting & unacceptable & your DH was NBU to complain. But the nakedness is not really the issue here, IMO.

laughlovelife That seems to be a US blog, no?

I honestly don't think anyone in Asda/Tesco would turn a hair at a Dad buying underwear for their dd - it's daft to base all of your views on this.

YANBU
Totally not fair on he other people in the cafe. Not very fair on the children involved either- not very dignified.

You're the only one talking about people yelling pervert. It doesn't even make sense....if you don't run screaming from the room covering your eyes someone will call you a pervert and write about you on a blog? "in this day and age people make assumptions"...about what? The only one thinking such odd things is YOU!

Most people wouldn't even occur to them to think of such things, its a bizarre and over the top reaction that you really should look at.

And major fucking eww at "4 year old crack", what a revolting turn of phrase you have. No wonder your husband feels uncomfortable with himself if thats how he thinks about toddler females.

The nakedness shouldn't be an issue but YANBU to think its gross for a child to be using potty in eating area- plain skanky if u ask me!!
My 3 yr old has been dry for 4 months & i have had to do this at the park where there are no loos for miles but i would never dream of letting her use the potty in an indoor playarea which has toilets!!
