Deals with Devils are part and parcel of politics. It's the "greater good" scenario. I don't support it, but I'm unsurprised.

To add; we're not above atrocity ourself. I felt a little less proud to be Scottish on the day we released the monster who was responsible for the Locherboe bombing. I don't care what anyone says, that was a political deal too.
