I have a cat called Alan

muffinino82 · 04/04/2012 20:26

Ha! Worra

Ah, ok, I didn't read the last page when I posted. I like Arthur and Emrys the best, with Percy in second. May I suggest Mort or Greebo? Or Jones, like the cat in Aliens (been obsessing over the Prometheus trailer today).

Pinot - I can't believe it's been a year since that kitten thread, they're looking marvelous and very handsome. Meow is a bit left out as the only non-ginger, though Grin

crazynanna · 04/04/2012 20:30

Smile her tail is back to normal thank you Pinot!

she has had her 1st season Shock...she's not booked in for neutering until 27th.

It only lasted 2 days...but she was crazy...actually falling in love with dd's converse trainers'!

No chance of her getting out. But a different cat standing at my back door for 2 days.

DameHermionesEasterKITTEN · 04/04/2012 20:31

I'm thinking I would like something poncy literary or welsh.

muffinino82 · 04/04/2012 21:36

Mort and Greebo are literary Grin

As for Welsh - Arthur means bear-like, Ianto, Aneurin (bit long), nn Nye, Twm, Taliesin (Tal), Guto, Llywellyn (nn Llew which is Welsh for lion)...hmmm, I have a horse named Sianco and he's black, he has a full brother called Siencyn.

Iago is Welsh for James so double whammy!

Kellamity · 04/04/2012 21:38

I am getting a kitten too! I really want to call him Dexter or her Harper (choosing kitten tomorrow). Other names on MY list are

Fletcher
Marley

DD wants to call him/her Flicka

Kellamity · 04/04/2012 21:39

DD2's nursery has a dog called Taxi Grin

MyCarHasBrokenDownAgain · 04/04/2012 21:42

Milton (my friend has a son called this, he wasn't named after the steriliser either) Grin

DameHermionesEasterKITTEN · 04/04/2012 21:52

quite liking Twm.

I'm tempted by the welsh as I'd be the only ones able to pronounce it Grin

AgentZigzag · 04/04/2012 21:55

Grin at shouting 'TAXI' down the street, hope they don't live in the middle of London Grin

DameHermionesEasterKITTEN · 04/04/2012 21:57

Mr Darcy?
Aramis?

!RUPERT!

DameHermionesEasterKITTEN · 04/04/2012 22:01

I think maybe Rupert maybe it (today anyway)

Pinot · 04/04/2012 22:19

ooh my vets cat is called Rupert

I am GLAD crazy but Shock @ season! How old is she? Meow was done @ 6m before her first season.

Muffin - I agree! The rest of the pets (and all my kids) have ginger hair!!

Fourcatsonthebed · 04/04/2012 22:57

DameHermioneEasterHarefield: Have the boy!!!!! A cuddle in your cardi is his way of saying "Hi Mum, I love you!"
We are on standby for our new kitten "Blue". He's a British Blue and only 6 weeks old at the moment and are due t pick him up on 18th May (not that I'm counting or anything! There is a picture on my profile. (go on have a look....he really is soooooooo cute!)

Angiefernackerpan · 05/04/2012 18:34

My kitten, Nancy, will be one next week! She was hand-reared by a vet after she was dumped in a bin to die Angry, she's so cuddly!

We've had 15 cats over the years but I've never been allowed to call one Pyewacket.

We've had Mac, Sam, Sweep, Plasser (named after the crane she was found under), Timmy, Cefer, Ringo, Arty, Fuchsia, Trevor, Harry, Harpo, Poppy, Leonard and Nancy.

7 of them have been rescue cats/kittens, one came from a pet shop, and three have been given to us by people who couldn't be arsed with them anymore, one had a broken leg.

This thread makes me want another kitten! We've only got four at the moment...

Rupert is a good name, might have to steal it...
