all 3

(I have no self control at all)

LadyBeagleEyes · 04/04/2012 20:02

But they're lovely when they grow up. One or the other sleeps with me or my ds, they swap places.
My girl settles in the perfect position for snuggles, her brother bats me on the face purring his head off, so he gets attention.
I keep my fingers crossed he'll sleep with ds.
I don't think either of them would accept an incomer, so unless there was a kitten/cat in desperate need, I wouldn't take on another one Sad
I'll just have to feed my craving on kitten threads on MN.

DameHermioneEasterHarefield · 04/04/2012 20:03

I wanted a girl.

Then fell in love with boy.

He crawled inside my cardi!

From personal experience I'd say have a girl, boys are more inclined to wander off (bigger territory). My little cuddly ball of fluff, as was, is curled up asleep on my lap. Can't believe she'll be six next month - she used to fit in my hand!! [wails]

BTWm Pinot, a year?? Already????!

LadyBeagleEyes · 04/04/2012 20:06

I had a cat years ago called Parsley.
After the lion in The Herbs tv programme.
It's such a cool name and I didn't use it for my two so you can have it.

CaveMum · 04/04/2012 20:07

Name-wise, slightly "unfashionable" people names are the best! Think:
Kevin
Dave (DH desperately wants a cat to call Dave!)
Norma
etc

Pinot · 04/04/2012 20:07

A year cave, a whole flippin' year! On the 17th they turn one, with their fat furry tums full of Dreamies :)

DameHermioneEasterHarefield · 04/04/2012 20:09

the others have 'human' names.

My friend has a parrot called Eric Grin

He can do every mobile phone ringtone under the sun Wink

And can mimic friend's dh coughing up his morning guts to a T

Pinot · 04/04/2012 20:13

A girl cat called Hermione amuses me.

A boy called Barker is funny as it's ironic innit.

Pinot · 04/04/2012 20:14

crazy! How is Poppys tail?

muffinino82 · 04/04/2012 20:16

it does worry me that we will have a bit of a menagerie. but lets face it. the house stinks of teenagers, dogs and cats already. one more won't make much difference will it?

Note one mote Grin

Think of the sideway kitten prance! I love the boquet of kittens and the happy sideways white kitten with the squee of a thousand suns.

I like shitting, pissing, geriatric cats, the grumpy bastards that they are. A kitten's not just for birthdays etc.

Adds the obligatory Please get one from a rescue centre, you'll have a kitten and be Doing Your Bit Smile

WorraLiberty · 04/04/2012 20:18

oh and I already know about insurance, chips, vet bills, de-bollocking, mouse bits, wailing at breakfast time, pissing in random places, refusing all but themost expensive food, puking on the duvet and fleas

No different to being married in my experience Grin

Pinot · 04/04/2012 20:19

@ Worra!!

DameHermioneEasterHarefield · 04/04/2012 20:21

oh, we have a cat shaped hole in our lives after the painful and expensive passing of our 14 year old Oscar last summer sniff
Been looking at rescue centres..£60 for a rescue cat? Can't afford it.
then there's the insurance and the food and the vets bills and the fleas....and I WANT one!
Dreamed last night we acquired a black and white one called Pirate!
