dp smoking weed on our porch!

My dp had a friend we've known since uni round last night for a few drinks and to watch some sport or other on tv, and he's still here! He still acts like a bit of a student, has always been into recreational drugs and can't seem to understand why dp can't go off on benders all the time anymore.
We've both got today off so I'm trying to catch up with some uni work. I found them smoking normal cigarettes in the kitchen (a big no no) last night and asked them to go outside, which they have since. But just now they've both gone down to our porch (1st floor flat) and I can smell cannabis really strongly.
What is he thinking smoking drugs where any of our neighbours can see or smell it!
I don't want to embarrass dp by kicking off but this is ridiculous! What to do??

Should add that dp can only take a few pints before he's all tiddly, definitely not a regular pothead!

Bucket of water over them and tell the friend to fuck off.

I feel like I've got a teenage sleepover going on here, not two 25 year old professionals!

Don't tempt me.. If it was the evening, and it was somewhere private, and I wasn't stressing out over this work I probably WOULD!
I just feel like there's a time and place, and the place isn't on a main road in full sight and wiff distance of all our neighbours..

Is there anywhere they can go and skulk if they're going to act like teenagers like my DP does ? Bottom of the garden? My neighbour often sits on his front step on a summer evening, with no shirt on, a beer and a spliff. His partner despairs, and I see her point; he's a lovely bloke but that doesn't paint him (or the neighbourhood) in a favourable light.

The only outside space we have is the communal carpark and, to me, if they MUST do this in the middle of the day (and he insists that they weren't Hmm)it would make more sense to go there but they were obviously sheltering from the rain.
The friend looks like he's finally making a move..
Nice to know my dp isn't the only fully grown man who acts like this now and then though GirlWithALlamaTattoo
I'm now plotting ways I can make our place a less attractive option for these lads days!

i wouldnt mind if it was somewhere private, but not on the porch where neighbours could smell it. I think thats asking for trouble

My feelings exactly.
My dp also works in higher education and we live in a popular student area, so it's not unlikely that one of his students could have spotted him.
I'm just quite stunned he could be so irresponsible.
