according to one holiday website the average temp is 26 in may, but other sites ive looked at say 22.

and we are planning on going to the east coast, protaras
so i think thats cooler than the north coast

if we wait and go in june, its 200 pounds more expensive so trying to figure out if its worth it

i only really want to lay on the beach in the day and have a nice meal at night

i dont seem to be able to make the descion, so tell me what i should do fork out the extra 200 quid for better chance of it being warmer, or save 200 and go in may

We went to Paphos in may a couple of years ago. It was really hot.

tinymouse · 04/04/2012 14:32

thanks for advising me, i think pahos is hotter than protaras in general, but should be hot enough for beach weather hopefully at the end of ma

I've been in May and it was lovely :)
If we stay in Paphos we normally spend our days at Coral Bay Beach and our evenings in Paphos Harbour or thereabouts eating and drinking.

Whateveryousaymustberight · 04/04/2012 15:27

We went to Cyprus. It was a bit rubbish IMO, so I'd go elsewhere. It was a bit of a building site, really. We were in a villa, booked through a reputable agency, and both of my children got ear infections from the pool- even though it seemed clean. When we took them to the doctor, his waiting room was full of people with the same thing- dozens of them! My children were bleeding from their ears and couldn't hear for several days. The prescription for antibiotics came to almost £100! So, buyer beware! However, undercover Princess seems to have had a better experience than my family and friends, so hopefully you'll have a good time whenever you go.

tinymouse · 04/04/2012 16:21

oh yeah i'm not too keen on pools for that reason.
all that suncream and pools dont mix well imo.
i prefer the sea

although goodnesss knows whats lurking in there!
lol
