Or am I going mad? I was blissfully relieved when I dumped him for a host of reasons...now he's seeing someone new, I'm in bits?

YANBU, perfectly normal IMO.

Just don't let it get out of control and start thinking you want him back Smile

Sunnywithachanceofshowers · 03/04/2012 21:19

YANBU. I felt the same about my last ex.

How dare he be happy without me, the bastard. :)

AgentZigzag · 03/04/2012 21:21

What are the reasons you dumped him?

Just to be nosey Grin

Dustinthewind · 03/04/2012 21:24

Unless you are distressed that a nasty bit of work has found someone else to deceive, YABU to be upset that someone else is now with someone you rejected.
So, why did you break up, and why are you upset?

Anniegetyourgun · 03/04/2012 21:24

I'd be quite upset if XH got together with somebody else, to be honest.

To think there was another woman in the world THAT stupid...

AgentZigzag · 03/04/2012 21:29

Oh, YABU in that case Grin

What is it that's stopping you from feeling angry about what he's done to you?

Are you feeling lonely?

ThisIsNotMyLife · 03/04/2012 21:30

Lonely, miserable, humilated..

Whatmeworry · 03/04/2012 21:30

It's the pain of real proof that you may have made an error - but it will pass :)

ThePathanKhansWitch · 03/04/2012 21:31

Grin @ Annie.

MizK · 03/04/2012 21:31

Oh dear , just read some of the thread you linked to.
Erm, YABU? Cause he sounds like a bellend. And you were probably upset enough about what he did to you whilst you were together, so wasting more tears on him is more than he deserves.
But I think most people have a wobble when even the shittiest ex moves on...

scottishmummy · 03/04/2012 21:32

nah, you'd just hoped he'd be bereft without you
when he's bunny hopped into another lassie bed
without a dog can you lick

ThisIsNotMyLife · 03/04/2012 21:37

One week he's begging me to take him back...The next he's moving in with someone. Mad.

OP posts:
DowagersHump · 03/04/2012 21:39

Proof that any woman will do, surely?

ThisIsNotMyLife · 03/04/2012 21:40

I hadn't thought about it like that, dowager.

OP posts:
ThePathanKhansWitch · 03/04/2012 21:42

ThisIs Do you think your just hankering after your lost dream? IYKWIM, I think that would be perfectly normal after all you've been through. It's a kind of grieving isn't it?.

I do hope you find the happiness you deserve.

scottishmummy · 03/04/2012 21:42

look he's poon hound found new lassie
he's not going to sit at home reflecting and thinking what could have been
so stop moping, stop being self pitying.dust self down, moooooove on

ThisIsNotMyLife · 03/04/2012 21:45

OP posts:
scottishmummy · 03/04/2012 21:48

haha good double entendren
lassie=female
but a poon hound is a dog alright

solidgoldbrass · 03/04/2012 21:49

Get a hobby or something. This man doesn't sound worth wasting another thought on.

Floggingmolly · 03/04/2012 21:51

Don't be a such a dog in the manger. He's entitled to move on. Why don't you?

fussbucket · 03/04/2012 21:53

Yanbu to feel upset, you're still mourning the loss of the man you thought he was before you discovered he was a twunt.

realhousewifeofdevoncounty · 03/04/2012 21:53

The man I dumped is now marrying someone else and I am heartbroken. I know technically iabu, but personally I sympathise so no, yanbu. Sad

ThisIsNotMyLife · 03/04/2012 21:56

Nice to know I'm not losing my marbles.

OP posts:
BillyBollyBandy · 03/04/2012 21:58

I felt vaguely irritated when my ex bf got married last year, we dated when we were both 15 Blush so 20 years ago. Now that is unreasonable. You are being perfectly rational.
