...to be spending too much time on Mumsnet when the missus thinks I am doing job applications?

To be fair to me it is her fault. She told me to log back into Mumsnet after being away for a while to post my question about whether a health questionnaire was legal or not. Now I'm here I can't leave!

The eldest two are happy on the Wii and she is out with the youngest at his 30th (almost literally) birthday party of this school year alone (all the social skills in our family were distilled into his tiny little body and the frustrating little so and so can charm anyone with a simple smile).

I am supposed to be working my way through a massive pile of job applications. I haven't even had lunch yet (the kids have).

I'm a mess. It is all the fault of Mumsnet.

I haven't checked my email, my googlereader feed, gone to the loo, eaten, moved or scratched my very itchy back for about 2 hours now and I don't know what to do.

I'm thinking about replying to every single AIBU thread even though I've long since replied to the few I have anything meaningful to contribute to.

Every argument the kids have about the Wii has me reply with "I don't care".

Am I being unreasonable to be spending so much time on this stupidly addictive site again?

I'm remembering why I stopped coming on here before.

Yes I was aware it was April .... I was hinting so as not the spoil the surprise on the morning, instead of us lot ruining it!

Honeydragon · 01/04/2012 00:41

Which I just have now anyway .... Doh.

WishingRLwouldFuckOff · 01/04/2012 00:44

Lol. As soon as anyone clicks on the pop up box to see Justin's explaination it will be ruined. 1st post on it. And box pops up as soon as you reload/log in so it is not going to be much of a surprise. Although if HQ have their wits that will only be a diversion to lull us into a false sense of comfort

Just found out that the boss I'm applying to in Abu Dhabi used to be an AST at my first school and he singled me out to help him run Inset before now as he liked my teaching style.

Malaysia, Thailand, Saudi, Taunton, Plymouth, Cornwall, Devon... the trend seems to be "anywhere but here"

But I only fill in the applications she who must be obeyed, my reason for living and the air that I breath sends me .Grin

MN is a timewaster.

MN with links to the Daily Mail and YouTube is a flipping nightmare......that's it I'm off out into the garden.

MNHubbie · 01/04/2012 16:20

Hey! The Hate Mail was only used as they had the article up first. The article did not blame anything new for causing cancer nor did it blame anything on immigrants/gays/liberals. I should be celebrated for finding the least hateful Mail article of all time!

I regret posting a Daily Mail article but feel it was safe in this instance and feel I have balanced it all by risking my job virtually every lesson by taking the piss out of the hate Mail for whatever I feel like.
