come out of school from my bedroom window then I can without being gawped out by 2 woman sat in a car outside my house.

This is very trivia I know but it's bugging me.

Today my ex went to pick up our sons from their schools. Normally he'll drop off youngest and then go back for oldest. I normally wait at the door for him as exh only has time to drop him off with me before going straight back for oldest.

So today I was watching out for them from my upstairs window. I was there for a while as youngest decided to stay and wait for oldest who was the last out. While I was waiting I noticed one of the women in the car noseying at my house. When she caught sight of me she must have told the other woman who learned over to have a look at me as well. Felt like I was a zoo exhibit so I waved to them. They then waved back!.

So what do you think. I know it's nothing really but it's put me off looking for my children now when they come out of school.

They probably thought you were watching them.

plantsitter · 30/03/2012 19:59

If they waved back they probably thought you were gawping at them.

I don't think so as they were straight in front of my house but the school is off to the left and I was facing that way iyswim.

You waved, so they waved back, i don't see the problem?

They were just probably wondering what you were looking at. It's just one of them things.

MrsKittyFane · 30/03/2012 20:08

As others have said, they probably thought you were gawping at them.
Probably wondered why they couldn't sit in their car without someone staring at them through their bedroom window.

I know it probably seemed a little weird to you, but I doubt those women are psychic and they had no idea you have children at that school and were watching for them - to those women you were just an odd lady standing at a window staring out - who then started waving at them!!

However, YA certainly NBU to watch your kids coming home from school. Just if you don't want the confusion again you might want to make a little sign...

Thanks for your replies. Luckily they were still there when my boys returned so hopefully they don't think I'm dodgy. Will think about the sigh though Grin although wonder what wording I could put on it! Something along the line of "I'm not looking at you as even though I'm probably sad to be watching my children come out of school I'm not so sad that I would find watching two women sat in a car interesting" Luckily it's a big window so can fit it all on!
