I shower, dry hair, cream feet, dress, clean teeth, put on mascara and eyeliner and am ready in 20 minutes.
It takes 5 -10 minutes extra if I'm going out at night.
I pluck eyebrows every 3 weeks and run a razor underarms and over legs every few days - takes a couple of minutes.

Nope, YANBU

But what is your point? People who spend less time are skanky hoes? People who spend more time are high-maintenance?

Or none of the above?

Midnightmoon · 28/03/2012 21:59

YANBU
It takes me a bit longer as my hair takes 20 mins to dry Angry but its not really my fault and I usually do it at night anyway. Otherwise I am the same though.

lolajane2009 · 28/03/2012 22:00

i brush hair, wash face and brush teeth. put on clothes too. takes me longer to get son ready though and his nappy bag.

Catsmamma · 28/03/2012 22:01

I get up at seven to be out of the house at half nine, but i do mill about, drink an awful lot of coffee and potter on the computer

I cannot be rushed.

I suppose actual getting ready time is half an hour tops, including hair drying and everything

..maybe i ought not get up til nine tomorrow??

lisad123 · 28/03/2012 22:01

I don't have a shower so have to bath and my hair takes ageeess to dry. I can be ready in about 30-40mins with no kids bugging me and my clothes are ironed Blush

GirlWithALlamaTattoo · 28/03/2012 22:02

Poo, shower, hair (long, thick, takes ages to dry and squash), make up, breakfast, clean teeth, dress - 45 minutes. Add coffee and fag and it's nearer an hour.

Bangtastic · 28/03/2012 22:03

I usually shower before bed, then in the morning it takes me around 20-30 minutes to apply make up/do hair/get dressed. Can be quicker if I want, but I don't rush otherwise I end up leaving the house with mascara on only one eye like I did last week Hmm

tralalala · 28/03/2012 22:03

oh I would love those 20 mins everyday, I can squeeze in 10, but that includes being mithered.

hiddenhome · 28/03/2012 22:03

Takes me half an hour. I've tried to get it down to 20 minutes, but can't manage it.

Shower
Dry
Dress
Brush Teeth
Apply polyfilla makeup
Dry Hair with hairdryer
Apply eyeliner
Try to locate specs Confused

LaurieFairyCake · 28/03/2012 22:04

45 minutes exactly to shower, dress, dry my hair nicely, wear make-up, iron something quick. That's a 'work outside the home day'.

At home day - 15 minutes as don't dry my hair, wear stretchy clothes and don't put make-up on.

slowestwildebeast · 28/03/2012 22:04

No shower? Yuck! I sweat like there's no tomorrow so can't get away with no shower. I take about 45mins.

ObviouslyOblivious · 28/03/2012 22:05

I get up two hours before I leave for work. At the moment that's 5am. I walk the dogs, feed them, have breakfast, have a shower, do make up/hair, play with DS and then leave. I win :o

shewhowines · 28/03/2012 22:05

I guess I think I don't take enough time to groom myself and should perhaps spend longer am I skanky?.
Also curiosity I think- how long does it take for those immaculately made up to look like they do.

Takes me about an hour; toilet first (very regular, seems to take a while Blush) then shower ( not hair), teeth, dress, make up, bit of toast and coffee. My hair is very long and frizzy and has to be left to dry overnight after evening shower. I can't possibly manage to cut it down to less than the hour.

bobbledunk · 28/03/2012 22:07

My hair takes that long to dry! I take a good hour to clean, groom, dress and prettify myself. Every morning. It's me time and a good start to the day.

lolajane2009 · 28/03/2012 22:07

i am now thinking i am a skanky hoe... nevermind though.

MyLittleMiracle · 28/03/2012 22:08

About twenty minutes provided i know what i am wearing and not going on a date,

  1. turn on straighteners,
  2. get dressed while they heat,
  3. cleanse and tone my face
  4. Straighten hair
  5. put make up on
  6. Turn straighteners off
  7. perfume sprayed.
  8. shoes on, out the door.

If i am going on a date, well havent been for so so so long, so probably ALL WEEK, to psych myself up and try different looks with hair and make up, but only as part of normal routine.

Meglet · 28/03/2012 22:11

Breakfast 20 mins
Toilet (usually 2/3 times due to IBS) 30 mins.
Teeth, wash face, contacts, getting dressed 15 mins
Supervising / yelling at the DC's 30 mins

(I shower in the evenings as my hair needs to dry naturally).

I am failing to see anybody fitting in any MNing into these routines Hmm

All this faffing about showering and cleaning teeth etc. when you could be posting about your MIL's bullying slow-cooker parent & child parking teacher.

Get up at 6.45am, leave at 8am.

Dh sorts the kids though.

Tomorrow however, he is working early and I have to get the kids ready. Poor me.

DPrince · 28/03/2012 22:15

It takes me an hour. That includes 2 cups of coffee though.

MrsPeterDoherty · 28/03/2012 22:17

10 mins up and out the door, at work 10 mins later. No tea, no breakfast, no make up, don't even look in mirror. I'm the skankiest ho Grin

ObviouslyOblivious · 28/03/2012 22:17

I MN on the tube Talc - I have two minutes on the platform, ten minutes before we go in the tunnel. And during the consumption of branflakes.
