To think it shouldn't take 40 mins to cut a 4 year old girl's hair.....

who has sat completely still the whole time and chatted away nicely to the hairdresser?

She normally goes to my hairdresser who is a bit further away, but cuts a nice bob in about 15 mins, so took her to a local place by foot.

My DD and I sat 40 mins whilst this woman cut each strand of hair separately (it seemed). The finish wasn't that good either, but DS (11 weeks) had started to stir in his pushchair so didn't have time to tell her to cut it a bit shorter from the front.

Honestly, 40 mins for a child? Who didn't move and cooperated the whole time!!

Do you think she might have been newly qualified?

I know speed is something that comes with experience when it comes to hairdressing.

Still, 40 minutes is taking the piss somewhat.

She didn't look newly qualified, but I have had DD's hair cut before from trainees and even they have done it quicker! She had short hair to start off with - cutting it into a shorter bob shouldn't be too hard should it?!

I had a simple cut done at the training college once. It took AGES! Really, ages.
But it was a good cut mind.
