Tories in power = Jehovah Witnesses = end of world is nigh??

Ok this is light hearted...

In the last few weeks I've been stopped several times by Jehovah Witnesses and also had a few home visits. I haven't seen any for years.

Last time we had them visit regularly was when the Tories were last in power then it went a bit quiet under Labour.

Do they know something we don't?? Is the world doomed whenever the Tories rule..? AIBU?

I think their sort likes to pounce when they think people are at a low ebb. No secret that times are difficult for many. I'm sure if Labour were presiding over the spending decisions now the vultures with bibles JW's would be circling just the same.

They turned up at my house the day after the tsunami. I could , at thT time, say "my MIL is a jw do I have all the info I need ta".

Well I suppose the world is more likely to end with a Tory government in power.

It's coming up to Easter, they always come round at Christmas and Easter.

Used to get them on a Saturday morning knocking the door. I had a word with their pastor(?) and it stopped.

Last Saturday walking back from getting the paper the buggers tried to stop me in the street!

I don't want to know, thank you very much. Ever!

Next time answer the door and ask for your address to be put on the 'do not visit list' - yes they have one

I had some come to my door and I thought they were very respectful and polite I'm Buddhist and was nice to them and they were nice to me.
