OP posts:
AnyFucker · 25/03/2012 23:19

what are you testing ?

D0oinMeCleanin · 25/03/2012 23:19

If you were testing a NC, it failed Grin

squeakytoy · 25/03/2012 23:20

If you were testing a name change.... it failed Grin

And the thread title was hardly discreet Grin

HeartsTrumpDiamonds · 25/03/2012 23:20

What's a NC??

D0oinMeCleanin · 25/03/2012 23:21

Name change.

HeartsTrumpDiamonds · 25/03/2012 23:21

D'oh.... Name change....

[stupid/tired emoticon]

lololizzy · 25/03/2012 23:26

me too, perhaps they are one and the same boss....

BupcakesandCunting · 25/03/2012 23:27

Fucking hell another name change fail... Anyway...

Had a massive row with my boss at work on friday. We're normally very good friends which is probably part of the problem. I work one day a week contracted but do OT when I'm needed. However, since August I've had to ring in sick 4 times. Yeah, I know it's a fair amount but basically I've had a shite time since August... DS had a bad sick bug in September and school obviously made me keep him at home until 48 hours after puke, in October I had a mad anxiety episode and spent two weeks in bed having panic attacks (I told work that I had a virus and my GP signed a note to that effect, just didn't want anyone to know my MH issues) then DS had chickenpox in January so had to take time off then too. I have no-one to help me with childcare so it does get left to me alone if DS is sick.

Anyway, last friday I had a flare-up of an ear infection so was off again (sigh) making that 4 times. I had no voice and my ear was making me feel sick with pain. 500 mg paracetamol wasn't touching it. Went back to work this friday and my boss really made me feel shit. She basically said "Well I was ill that friday and I wanted to go home when you got in but then I couldn't so you shagged my plans up to slope off early" WTF???! So her illness over-rides mine?! BTW, she still lives at home with her parents and is ill every week, no joke, it is a running joke amongst everyone that she is ill all the time. Then she said she would have to mark it on my record. I am feeling hard done by. I have been with the company for ten years, cut me some slack. I've had a genuine, can't be avoided reason for being off each time. I just want to smach her one. Angry

I want to hand my notice in. I only do one day a week most of the time so I won't miss out on much cash but I know DH will start acting like I am sending us to financial ruin if I suggest it. Gah.

Good luck

Massive xpost there Bupcakes, sorry you're having a shit time of it.

BupcakesandCunting · 25/03/2012 23:30

OP posts:
lololizzy · 25/03/2012 23:30

sorry tired here too you are NOT BU

lololizzy · 25/03/2012 23:33

the anxiety and panic is not to be underestimated - now I've started having that i feel life is too short and all that to be in a job where i get that dread feeling...but my partner will be none too supportive either, he is only PT at moment, i need to work. she is a bully. Yours just sounds massively spoilt and immature (and lazy)

BupcakesandCunting · 25/03/2012 23:34

Aww lolo. We need to get strong together and tell them no good men...

Sorry that your boss is a bully. What does she do exactly? Mine is definitely spoilt and immature. She is a cunt.

OP posts:
ChaosTrulyReigns · 25/03/2012 23:39

How hard is it to name change you great tweedle?

Wink

Don't jack it in Buppy - you're only there for what, 45mins a week? You can do this you can - think of your career.

SerendipitousHarlot · 25/03/2012 23:39

My boss is also a cunt. I dream about telling her to stick her job up her well abused 50 year old clunge on a regular basis Grin

Sorry though, bupcakes. I really, honestly know how you feel.

lololizzy · 25/03/2012 23:40

she's new and incredibly enthusiastic (area manager) like an overgrown cheerleader... and I'm incredibly short staffed in my retail job and working all hours, i don't even get a chance to have a wee most days it's that bad..and she is constantly on my back with targets, criticisms etc and pressures, but she can be an out and out bitch. No support at all even when i'm in tears and asking for help and support /advice (she knows fully my situation btw). Most of this is on the phone (the grief from her). But in person..she is evil with a smile on her face! No lie! Very fake indeed. Maybe just a mask and she's very insecure (i think she's still in her probation period). I would so be dropping them in the shit if i left. They 'd have to close the shop. But it would be shooting myself in foot. DP wants me to get signed off sick, or go to HR rather than just leave, as i wouldn't get benefits for just leaving and might find it hard to get a new job. But HR would approach her directly which I feel would make things worse.

her voice actually drips with spite and sarcasm rather than her actual actions..that is what I can't stomach. That i have to put up with being talked to like that because I have to earn a wage. And she knows that.

lololizzy · 25/03/2012 23:43

my partner panics as we couldnt manage on his currently PT wage. which makes me panic, big time. as i feel stuck and pressured from him as well as her. And that i have to put up with this as a result

BupcakesandCunting · 25/03/2012 23:45

Lolo :( Chin the bitch. I'll PM you with step-by-step instructions. :(

Artex, I must defend DH. He is really supportive with everything and he would take time off if I asked him to but he works in a pretty full-on job and his workload just piles up if he takes time off. He's also just moved departments and wants to prove himself to the team he is leading so...
