To not want the garden to stink of air freshener?

Nextdoor's patio doors open onto our back garden and our patio doors are near theirs.

She seems to have a penchant for air fresheners because when she opens her patio doors the smell foul stench comes out and we can smell it in our garden. I think she smokes too and the smell is all mixed up. I could cope with the smoke, but mixed with air freshener, it's just too much and it makes me feel sick Confused

The air freshener smell is overwhelming.

I want fresh air in my back garden, not this chemical reek.

There's absolutely nothing I can do about it, as she has the right to do this in her own home, so I don't think there's a solution other than for me to remain indoors.

The stink is finding its way into my lounge now Angry I've had to close the patio doors. We have this every spring/summer. I hope she goes out or something.

Have you got a supersensitive nose?

I can't visualise how their patio doors open dirctly into your garden and yours into theirs?

ooh hiddenhome, i clicked on this as we're in much the same predicament. live in 1st floor maisonette, downstairs neighbours smoke and seem to empty an entire can of air unfreshener every half hour or so. they also have two massive fat dogs that bark all night and shit all over the garden, which neighbours then leave lying around. so when we open our windows to let in the lovely spring air, what we actually get is air freshener + dog + fag smoke + stale dogshit.

YANBU. it's disgusting.

Light a bonfire, that will learn her! :o

YANBU

How horrible, those things are really bad for your lungs as well. I have asthma and they literally make me sick.

All I can suggest is start an enourmous compost heap or something...

Our gardens and patio doors are side by side. We're a matter of metres away from each other Sad It's all stinky and 'orrible. I object to having my airspace polluted by her neurotoxic chemicals.

Sorry you're in the same position Bender. If people knew how damaging these plug ins are to health perhaps they wouldn't use them. She has a dog as well. The poor thing must be choking.
