On the front page of tomorrow's Mirror is this quote from Dennis Waterman "Yes I hit Rula, but clever women make men lash out"

Speechless. I hope nobody ever hires him again. (Not that lots of people are at the moment, but you know what I mean).

LadyBeagleEyes Leslie Ash and Lee Chapman have always strenuously refuted any suspicions of DV. Including those of her sister...

I'm old enough to remember him in The Sweeney when women actually fancied him.Confused.
I hope everybody here avoids his interview with Piers Morgan, as this is just publicity for the programme, and to get viewing figures.

One of my earliest memories from childhood is raspberry medicine and Minder.
I remember watching it with my dad cos i was up a bit later lying on the sofa cos i wasnt well.
I wont be watching it again though. And that goes for anything new of his or any reruns.

Forgot to mention I also find Piers Morgan disgusting. So no danger I'll be watching that interview even if I got my aerial fixed

I hate the passive language he uses such as hitting "can happen" like his actions were nothing to do with him.

I hope this confession will have wrecked his career, and Rula can now walk around with her head held high.
I always questioned the whole Leslie Ash/Lee Chapman thing, yet they're still together, and Leslie has been through so much other shit.
I loved her in Men Behaving Badly, and always hoped the allegations weren't true. Sad

Sunshineandbooks did you mean Chris Rock or did you mean Chris Brown?

Agree with everyone else, nobody makes someone else hit them and for all his excuses he may as well have just said "she is cleverer than me and I didn't like it" and leave it at that. No nonsense about how a clever woman can make a man hit her, just an honest admission that he is a stupid man who thinks it's okay to use his fists in place of his teeny-tiny brain.

If anyone is planning to avoid his show in future may I suggest you also contact the BBC and tell them why, just so they know.

NoOnes I meant Chris Brown. Where did Rock come from I wonder? Thanks for pointing it out before I get sued. Wink

HELLO EVERYBODY. I MEANT CHRIS BROWN
