To hold onto our baby stuff even though DH says he 'probably' doesn't want a third?

I'm pg with DS2 at the mo (due end of Jul). There will be just 16 mo between our DS's so I'm not thinking about a third baby until at least the boys are in full time nursery/ school. DH says that he thinks 2 DC are enough, but I think it's still early days and we may both be keen to expand our family a little further in the future.

So AIBU to hold on to the baby stuff just in case? I am not 30 yet and not sure I can fully believe that 2 babies is our lot - or maybe it's just the idea of this being my last pregnancy.

Keep it for a while. Even if you don't have more, you have to be ready to get rid of it. I had a clear out recently and I bawled when I put dd's cute shoes in the charity box. But I had to clear out.

And maybe you will have more. You just don't have to advertise the fact to your dh that you've not got rid of the clothes yet.

When I finally started to get my head round the fact that dc2 was my last, I had a clear out and sold a load of stuff at a big table top sale. 9 months later dc3 arrived.

It depends what you get rid of. I've kept a lot of stuff for friends and family but sold the big bulky stuff that is easy to replace via ebay. Even if I do have more (which I won't) I had a brilliant spending spree the other day with the money from the table top sale and the space it's cleared was very worth it.

I kept all of ours after DC2 even though DP wanted to get rid of it.

About 2 months ago we found that DC3 will be here in now 8 weeks....guess who's the smug one now Wink

Thanks all. Maybe 2 will really be enough? Perhaps I'll just hold on to stuff until I'm 100% sure... Or going through the menopause -whichever comes soonest Wink

Congrats littlemissnormal !
